Created in the 1980s from a family recipe, Old Hamlet's muslin spice bundles for a great Whisky Toddy have been enjoyed by thousands over the years - simple and delicious.

INGREDIENTS
Ginger, Allspice, Lemon Peel, Mace.
How to make Whisky Toddy: Add 450ml (¾ pint) of cold water into a saucepan, then add 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 Whisky Toddy spice bundle. Heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer until the sugar has dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and allow to stand for 10 minutes.
Add 50ml (two measures) of whisky to the spicy syrup. Reheat, but do not let boil. Serve hot, perhaps with a slice of lemon and a pinch of ground nutmeg.
